Research Journals
The Forum publishes following peer-reviewed research journals:
- Journal of Combinatorics, Information and System Sciences (Started in 1976)
- Journal of Statistics and its Applications, Started in 2006.
- Journal of Econometric Theory and Practice, Starting in 2009
- A Journal in the area of Computer Science, Decision to start has been taken. Matter is in progress.
It is evidently visible from the international nature of the FIM’s conferences and its audience that Forum has brought a new energy among the Indian mathematical scientists of this generation by providing them with an international bridge to encourage intellectual discourses and exchange of ideas with scientists from other countries. Advancement of Indian mathematical scientists on the world stage has been one of Forum’s missions, which it is achieving on a regular basis by sponsoring partial conference expenses and featuring their presentations abroad at our conferences. It has also featured renowned Indian scientists as plenary speakers at the conferences abroad.
Center of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Mathematics
CEIM is a Center established by the ‘Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics (FIM)’ to meet the ever growing, widening and expanding needs of researchers, educators, users, and planners of the mathematics required in its partner areas. It is meant to promote excellence in a broad set of applied disciplines in which mathematics plays a significant role such as: Computer and Information Sciences; Economics and Management Sciences; Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, Physical Sciences & Engineering; Probability & Statistics; Behavioral and Social Sciences; Biological and Life Sciences, including Medicine and other associated areas. It will be housed at the new campus of GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Operation of CEIM has started with offering Directorship to an eminent mathematician and by constituting various committees – Board of Advisors, Council and Managing Committee. A sum of Rs. 2.5 million has been set aside for starting the operation.
